Hi, I'm Joel! I will preface by confessing I'm not an advanced expert with a portfolio of schooling in the realm of music. I've had some learning and practice over the years, but have never persued any degrees or sought careers in music. There are many others out there who produce marvelous and amazing things that range from soul-inspiring beats to symphonies of grand, heavenly design, and I look up to them as sources of inspiration. I do not pretend to be anything more than I am- I know how to put some chords together, and sometimes it even works pretty darn well.
I sing in a local barbershop quartet and chorus here in the Ogden area of Utah. On top of that, I also usually lead my local congregation every week in singing hymns, as well as lead the tiny local volunteer choir... which on the best of days tends to comprise of a dozen people at the most.
I've had a lot of past experience in many various musical experiences, including marching band, jazz band, pit orchestra, a blues band, a local community Easter Cantata chorus, and much more. I am a singer, a saxophone player, a piano player (by ear only!) and sometimes various other things, as well. I also sometimes run sound for different events, such as weddings, local performing concerts, and so on (contact me if you are interested).
Below are some links to works I have arranged or composed. Right now, that list probably only includes choir numbers I've arranged in the past little bit, here, and for what it's worth, I've had good success in leading these, even with the small volunteer choir I have (and they are awesome folks, by the way!).
